  • This spring blooming (before the 'Kwansan Cherry') cherry tree has delicate double pale pink (almost white) single blooms that are showy even from a distance. The tree shape is more rounded in youth, becoming wide spreading with age. It has the classic cherry bark, deep reddish brown. They are the trees planted at the Tidal Basin in Washington, D.C.
