  • Coral Bells (Heuchera) are popular garden plants due to their versatility. They have interesting foliage that grows in neat mounds, with attractive scalloped leaves. 'Stormy Seas' has a fantastic compact habit and displays extreme vigor. It has bold purple and silver heavily ruffled foliage with contrasting purple veins with bright purple undersides. The pinkish-cream flowers rise 18" on wiry stems above the foliage in May and June, and are bell shaped. All heucheras want well drained soil, and most varieties appreciate at least some shade during the heat of the day. This variety combines well in sun with 'Dwarf Japanese Garden Junipers' a low growing evergreen shrub, or in semi-shade with a mass of 'Japanese Painted Ferns' which also highlight the purple color, and provides textural contrast, or 'Heartleaf Bergenia', with it's glossy large foliage.
