  • Botanical Name:    Pinus strobus
  • Height:    50-80' +
  • Spread:    20-30' +
  • Exposure:    Sun
  • Care:    None
  • Somewhat Deer Resistant
  • The most common large evergreen tree used for screening in this area, the Eastern White Pine is a native that can grow to 100' or more in time, but they usually do not get that large in a home landscape situation. They grow very fast when young, and are excellent at creating a windbreak or a screen. White Pines are shallow rooted trees, making them susceptible to drought. Supplemental irrigation is importaint, even for large, established trees during extended dry spells to keep them healthy.
