  • Care:    Cut to ground in fall or spring before new growth begins. Trim flower stalks when flowers fade.
  • Somewhat Deer Resistant
  • Foliage is splashed with purple, making this plant decorative even when not in bloom. Flowers are a deep purple, almost chocolate color and held well above the mounds of foliage. Somewhat rare, this is a worthy plant for flower border or semi-shaded garden. Prefers some sun, but protect from hot afternoon sun.
