There are many varieties of petunias to choose from. There have been some exciting new introductions recently in addition to the famous Wave petunias. Some are more upright, while some are spreading or mounding. They come in an almost infinite variety of colors. They all attract hummingbirds and butterflies and are suitable for beds, borders, containers or hanging baskets, depending on habit.
