- Paul's Glory is a changleling. This spring brings new leaves with a soft, chartreuse center and a darker, bluish-green margin. Then, as summer comes along, the leaf centers intensify to shades of light yellow, and gradually deepen to gold. And, if the plants are in more sun, they change again to a creamy white. In mid-summer they have soft lavender flowers on 24" scapes (stems). Mature plants will develop corrugated leaves. Leaves are more erect than most Hostas. It also tolerates more sun than most hostas, becoming lighter in color the more sun it receives. This Hosta can be mixed with other perennials in shady borders, shade gardens or woodland gardens. Hostas are a shade garden delight. Their bold foliage adds texture and interest to the garden.
