  • This very early spring blooming cherry tree (one of the first flowering trees to bloom) has delicate deep pink blooms that are best appreciated up close. The tree shape is an upright oval, not nearly as wide spreading as the other common flowering cherries. It has the classic cherry bark, deep reddish brown. It also has great fall color. A good choice for a smaller space, it does not spread as wide as the Kwansan or Yoshino flowering cherries, and has a more upright habit.
