- Marigolds are warm season annuals that are very versatile in the landscape. The are excellent as a bedding plant, and also good in containers. They are easy to grow. They are extremely drought tolerant once established. They come in a variety of colors in the ranges of cream, orange, yellow and red, with many bicolors available. There is a wide range of sizes, from small (4-6" tall) to large (12-14" tall) with varying flower sizes as well. They are an old fashioned favorite.
