  • Botanical Name:    Dicentra eximia 'Luxuriant'
  • Height:    12-18"
  • Spread:    18-24" +
  • Exposure:    Part shade
  • Care:    Cut to ground in late fall or early spring before new growth emerges
  • Deer Resistant
  • 'Luxuriant' Bleeding Heart has similar flowers as the 'Old Fashioned Bleeding Heart' but they are smaller, and borne in profusion from May until frost on smaller plants with deeply dissected, fernlike foliage. Intolerant of poor drainage, plants will rot in wet soils. Beautiful in the semi-shaded garden with 'Lungwort', 'Hostas' or 'Ferns'.
