- Stiffly erect, lime green fronds characterize this fern, with its elegantly drooping tips. A tough, slow spreading, decidous fern. New growth emerges lime green maturing to mid green by summer. Prefers moist soils, and will thrive under these conditions, but will grow fine in average garden soils. It will tolerate more sun if soil is moist.
