  • This showy plant prefers part shade and moist soil. 'Bowle's Golden' has narrow grass-like like leaves that are brilliant gold with a thin green edge. Add a touch of gold to your semi-shaded garden. Great by ponds or streams, or as an accent plant. May be massed in groups for a dramatic effect. Wonderful Bog plant or aquatic marginal. Combines well with the bold foliage of 'Hostas'. More sun will be tolerated if soil is kept moist. Carex is a clump-forming grass-like plant (not a true grass) that prefers semi-shaded locations, and moist soils. There are a variety of colors, sizes and leaf variegations available.
