  • The River Birch is a landscape standout. A very popular tree due to its beautiful exfoliating bark and the light shade it produces. Upright, vase shape and fast growth make it an ideal specimen tree for large areas. Stunning winter silhouette. Native to Southestern United States. Prefers but does not require wet soils. Multi-trunk specimens are most attractive, especially when limbed up to highlight the attractive peeling bark. Yellow fall color. Selections have been made for bark appearance and heat tolerance, the best being Heritage and Dura-Heat.
