This selection is very similar to 'Crimson Pygmy' but has a tighter growth habit, darker leaves, a slower growth habit and a smaller stature. A wonderful accent plant, this a a true slow growing dwarf plant. Growth rate is only an inch or so per year, making it very low maintenance. Very tight habit and excellent dark burgundy foliage color. Small yellow flowers in spring and red fall color. Excellent drought tolerance once established. Superior choice for small areas. A great plant pick.
