  • The Sugar Maple is a landscape standout. It is a favorite street and lawn tree, because it is easy to transplant, is fairly fast-growing, and has beautiful fall color. Medium to dark-green leaves turn yellow, burnt orange or red in fall. The shape is an upright oval. The Sugar Maple tree is one of America's most loved trees. Perhaps it is best known for its syrup! Many selections have been made for superior fall color and uniformity of shape. 'Green Mountain' is one of the best. It has durable foliage that resists heat and drought; an oval crown; and is very hardy. 'Legacy' is tough, vigorous and popular.
